WElcome to Kusala HEaling Arts

We are dedicated to providing integrative therapies that promote total well-being for veterans, their families, and all who seek support. Here, you’ll find important information to help you prepare for your first visit and understand our services.

Appointment Preparation

Before Your Visit

  • Non-Veterans: Schedule online 24/7 through our scheduling system. Prepayment with a credit or debit card is required. After scheduling, you’ll receive a secure, HIPAA-compliant paperless intake form via email. Please complete this form before your appointment to allow more treatment time.
  • Veterans: If you have prior authorization from the VA’s Community Care Network and Kusala Integrative Medicine, you may have received scheduling information via email. Complete the same intake process as above before your first visit. No credit or debit card is required to schedule once your referral has been processed.
  • Questions: Feel free to call or email us before scheduling if you have any questions.

What to Expect

  • We do not offer full-body Swedish massage or spa services, therefore, please wear loose, comfortable clothing for your hands-on therapy appointments. For men, this means gym shorts and a t-shirt; for women, gym shorts including a sports bra is recommended. If neuromuscular therapy is required on the abdomen, buttocks, hips, or thighs, appropriate draping will be used throughout the treatment.

REcommended Clothing

An African American male posing in a relaxed position for a therapeutic bodywork treatment.
A white female posing in a relaxed position for a therapeutic bodywork treatment.

Services Offered

  • Primordial Sound Meditation: Personalized meditative techniques and seed syllables anchor the mind, aligning the body, mind, and breath — facilitating stillness, deep, rhythmic breathing, and a calming sense of inner peace.
  • Hands-on Therapies: Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Work, and Somatic Unwinding help to relieve chronic musculoskeletal pain and deep-seated emotional wounds, including stress-related conditions.
  • Sound Healing: On-the-body sound work with metal singing bowls enhances somatic awareness and energy flow, promoting deep relaxation and internal harmony with renewed vitality for the whole person.
  • Warriors at Ease: Starting in Autumn 2024, Ryan will offer introductory meditation classes for wounded and disabled veterans through the Warriors at Ease program. Stay tuned for more details.

Additionally, Kusala Integrative Medicine offers medical massage services for veterans through the VA’s Community Care Network, with prior authorization required.
